Little story on my Starbo.

I have always been intregued about these little pocket rockets and after about a year of hunting for a standard ish one that had'nt been molestered and one I didnt have to import my self I came across this little beast.

I had been in Southampton looking at a Glanza from a dealer which was a dog of a car. I was so gutted I went on autotrader on my Phone (oooww get me!!) and found this gem literally round the corner. It was advertised with a lowering springs, forge dv, HKS TT and air filter. Anyway girl had no clue she said she brought and fitted the dv herself even though it said BLITZ on it clearly :tongue_smilie: anyway took it out and loved it. Paid £3,200.00 cash and following week picked it up.

I got it serviced straight away when I found out that she was well and truly down in power (37bhp to be procise!)due to having bad service (vectra plugs fitted!! :ChairSmile. We found that the lowering springs were in fact a rare set of TRD springs and the Apexi oversized induction kit was for a 200sx!

I had brought my first mod whilst I was working away and got my mechanic to fit it whilst he was servicing it. Oh yea I brought a Blueflame exhaust with a speed vision decat pipe. God it didnt half spool better with this on and we managed to get it back to healthy 125bhp.

I then purcahsed a nice set of Rota's and she was slowly coming together.

I have always been a fan of audio and me and my mate after a crappy winter day went to audio shop, b&q and decided to do a door card build. Took us 3 weekends and he did abit whilst I was away during the week.

It was amazing sound quality and we were dead chuffed with our work. Anyway I had a think where I wanted this car to go and my mate was building a 700 bhp EVO IV so thought what the heck lets get some more PPPPPOOOWWWWEEEERRRR.

I started to hit fuel cut so next was a fuel cut defencer. I also brought a Blitz Dual Spec S EBC, Cusco Oil Catch Can, Auto Gauge Oil Temp and Auto Gauge Boost Gauages which fitted nicely in my new pod holder Smile

While we were fitting the catch can we decided to move the filter onto the EFI pipe so we could have the can in the top right of the engine bay. This however made a radical change. Because of the positioning of it and the size of the filter it made the BOV dump loudly with the induction noise in place. It was so loud it made people fall off bikes, jump and even had one man run into a bush :laugh:

Next on the to do list was sort out the cross overs in the doors cards as I kept knocking them when getting in and out of the car ggrr. Took to sextons who retrimmed them and also made me a stealth sub and amp box

Over the spring the car had a complete refurb and ended up doing the following:

Japspeed FMIC (replaced top mount)
FSE Power Boost Valve
HKS SSQ (replaced Blitz BOV)
Power Enterprise Induction kit inc relocation kit to grill
HKS APR
Laguna front splitter
Mapped to 1.0 bar
All hoses changed to blue samco
Go Kart Momo steering wheel

http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd195...to0017.jpg

She made just over 190 bhp with the map and at 1.0 bar.

Was really happy with it untill had to sell Sad

anyway here she sat with my Ibiza FR

She is sadly missed. was the most fun I have out of a car and really did show up alot of motors.

Car 1 - 02 Lexus IS200 SE Strathcaron Blue, Sport Grille, TTE Lowering Springs (to be fitted), K&N Panel Filter, 6500K XENON Headlight Main & Dipped Bulbs, Xenon Sidelights, 17" Gunmetal Powder Coated Alloys, Front Grooved Discs and Mintex Pads
Car 2 - 73 Hillman Imp AKA Hilda, Aquarious Blue, work in progress!

I tried to pursuade my misses to get one but she ended up being a new swift sport

Think they are so under rated. Problem now is alot of chav's have got hold of them and ruined the image.
