Hey guys recently fitted an AEM digital boost gauge on my car and most of the times the boost from the charger is only showing 2psi max cant get it to move past that. Some times it reads 1psi then goes up to 2 psi. i Check all the hoses dont seem to find any of them slack. Any ideas as to why i cant make the 4psi. here is a pic of the bypass valve dont know if it is set up correctly

Maybe your belt is sliping. try to tighten the belt.

spray a can off easy start around all of your couplings while the car is idling and listen for the engine tone to change. this will help you as certain boost leaks. or you can try washing up liquid and water ina spray bottle. spray it on the couplings and look for the bubbles.

A way i found a boost leak on mine was to close the bypass by hand at idle,

When you close it, it fills the pipework with pressure, and you'll hear it if its leaking? don't hold the bypass closed for long though, just enough to see if you can hear air escape from the system? You could spray each hose joint with soapy water and check each one for bubbles one at a time?

Yep i did the same as Bandit on mine listen for the hiss - was leaking from IC joiners. Also maybe try a 5pk790 belt rather than 5pk800 as well. Should be seeing 4.3-4.4 PSI on the guage if its all ok.

Was Supercharged Racing Green IS200 Sport. Now APR Stage 1 Seat Leon Cupra (220 Bhp).

you have the old type of bypass spring...... i have no idea if toyota motorsport can still supply the upgrade kit, if not i would contact bermani as they do have the kits but it will cost you, amount unknown.

I have the same bypass spring and mine has just broke going to measure the spring and get one here. Bermani seems to be hard to get hold of.
