MR2 Clutch

Hi OJC'ers!
How are we all on this fine monday morning! iscoStu:

Took the other half to work this morning and randomly my clutch started to slip.
Dropped her off and went in for a coffee, half hour later set off to work and how bizarre, my clutch is no longer slipping!

Any idea's whats happening here?
Was it damp on the plate, is my master cylinder about to sh*t itself?

Any help would be appreciated !

So Some may know of my previous car the 02 mazda demio 1.3L.



The big ends where knock and it was knocking alot. I decided that for what the car is worth it really is not worth sorting it and this seemed like a good time to upgrade. I found this mx5 on ebay located in doncaster. Originally the owner wanted 1500 for it, but I managed to get the price down to 950. He kept the bucket seats, his enkei wheels, and coilovers. When i arrived to veiw the car i was amazed there was not one bit of rust at all like seriously none this was due to it having a full restoration in 2009 and 5 years later she still is a beaut.

1GFE Clutch Specifics

I'm interested to find out all details of the 1GFE clutch like
- Diameter
- Centre Splines
- Pressure Plate

In fact, if anybody out there has a std clutch kit that's destined for the bin, let me know please as it could help me with all the above and anything else that I need to know.

3m tape . which kind to use

I'm just waiting on my wind deflectors to arrive. But I know I need new tape to stick them on.

So what kind and thickness do you need to use ?

Anyone got any experience replacing the top mounts on a MK2 MR2?

Is it a pain? What tools are required etc?

EBay ball joints

Anyone had any experience with them? I'm going to be changing both front ball joints very soon and got a price from andrew page in stockport today of £41+vat each for blueprint ones but on eBay they're less than £35 for a pair of no name ones.

Lexus is200 advise

Hey everyone I'm pretty new to the modification side of life and could use a bit of help with ideas and need to have items for my is200 the only difficult thing is I'm in the army and live in Germany so buying items can be difficult if you don't know the language so if there is anyone from Germany with good places to shop that would be a great help but some advise on things to get first and need to have items it wld be a great help thanks guys and ladies
