My new boot build.
by FOSSIL FUELS, 14-10-2021, 08:25 AM
Whilst scrolling through eBay yesterday i came across something i couldn't pass on.

a fully constructed boot build for an IS200.

now i know these cost a few quid to make so i had to message him and see if i could get it on the cheap Smile

a few messages and a phone call later... it was mine!!
and he lived only 30mins away!!

don't look too closely, its rough around the edges but its a good bass to start from.

[Image: 1012492_10153541504160714_1671060115_n_zpsa88a8f4d.jpg]

and i've just put an order in for 5m of black leatherette material a new staple gun and some spray adhesive

speaking to Rabster last night i think il be placing an order in for 2 new 12" JL Audio subs and amp.

going to be good!!

il keep the updates coming.

My IS200 Sport

Here we go...after months of inactivity and yet more complaining from Lexuspat (out of character I know haha) here is my build thread...

...it may turn out to be more of a random picture thread as I haven't done much of the 'building' myself, but I'll try to keep it as interesting as possible.

We'll kick off with some pictures of the car the day after I got her...

She was standard apart from some terrible Kato Racing wheels and a double din head unit. A nice motor overall but she needed a little tidy up Smile

Supercharging vs Turbocharging
by joeharwood, 09-10-2021, 08:10 AM
Hi all,
I want to either supercharge or turbocharge my Zed. I know either option will cost about £7k-£10k plus including labour. Which do you think is the better option? A supercharger can run with stock internals (I think, don't quote me on it). A single or twin-turbo will require uprated parts (severe expense for a twin-turbo). So it's really a question of supercharger (Vortech etc) vs single turbo (HKS, STS etc).

What are your thoughts? Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Joe

Would like to welcome my you ger brother to the family of OJC and of course made him sign up for full membership at the same time.

His current car is a Yellow Rose which in pics looks scary in the yellow but In the flesh looks very nice.

Lexus Is200 T by NappyBoy

Hey everyone ,

its been a while since I was on this forum. My name is Adam , Im from Poland. I bought my Is200 in june 2012 . Standard version after lift. I was lacking power ( I get used to my brothers Altezza ) so i decided to look for a supercharger setup. After a year of searching I have found really experienced garage GT4 in Warsaw ( Poland). Setup is kind of simple and give really pleasure of driving . It has now 205HP and 299 Nm at 3,5 k RPM. Its a TD04 turbo kit , IC , pipes , no CAT .

Since the standard version I have changed:
-turbo setup
-exhaust kakimoto
-trd front lip
-trd rear lip
-trd side skirts ( still looking for them)
-fog to tail light conversion
-trd spoiler
- coilovers are to com HSD dualtech
-few bits and pieces

Car makes a start in around 6.5-7 s to 100km/h

Its really enough for daily driving Wink maybe in a year or two I will make a swap for 2jz gte or v8 .

Some pictures.

All the best !!

Anybody know where I could get some H7 bulb holders from this weekend?
by sprinter2012, 27-09-2021, 05:22 PM
Like in the bottom example of this picture, the H7 headlight bulbs on my car use a socket/holder to mount the bulb in.

However this holder is useless for the HID kit I just bought as the wires are permanently attached to the bulbs.

So as shown in the top half of the picture, I need a set of hollow holders that the bulb will sit in, but the wires will just pass through the middle.

Does anyone know where I might be able to get a set from as I was hoping to fit them this weekend?

Failing that I'll just have to order some and wait until Tuesday. Sad
