is300 fogs question
by Fry-Up, 10-05-2021, 02:43 PM
Apparently there's more than one type, with regards to bulbs, can anyone confirm what the difference between 'old type' and 'new type' and also, what year they changed?

My car is 2002 and the bulbs are hb4, they twist into place like most or the other normal bulbs, does that mean they are the older type? If so, do the newer type fit??

I need some capacitors...
by sprinter2012, 10-05-2021, 12:18 PM
I'm attempting to fix a power supply board on a faulty Samsung LCD TV, and require the following capacitors, as I think it will be easier to just buy them all and replace the lot, rather than spending ages checking values, especially as I have no way of measuring them.

Here is the list of what I need: (all radial electrolytic as far as I can see, and rated to 105*C)

10v 1000uf x 1
10v 2200uf x 2
25v 470uf x 2
25v 1000uf x 3
50v 1mf x 1
50v 10mf x 1
50v 47mf x 2
50v 100mf x 1

Any ideas where I could get these from in those quantities?

I can get a complete used board off eBay for £30-£40 so I don't want to buy hundreds of each size to do it.

Refurbing wolf race shark alloys
by Rabster, 10-05-2021, 04:52 AM
So I have got these wheels sitting her for the new wip but they are in need of some love

The chrome lip is showing signs of age so this will need polishing up again

Any suggestions on best items for this etc

Thinking of a new colour for the wheels they currently in black was thinking of maybe a metallic black with the chrome lip or dare I say a deep purple

The colour of the car they are going on is the IS-F ultrasonic blue........

browsers, quick, and light
by Fry-Up, 07-05-2021, 01:57 PM
as the title hints towards, I am having issues with browsers, given ever advancing technology, programs are getting bigger and hungrier with system resources, I see it all the time as I work with mobile phones (eg facebook android app used to be only around 3mb, now with all its updates its around 17-20mb and even as much as 30mb once you've logged in)

now it seems I can't even run internet explorer on my netbook, HP210 mini, without getting a memory warning, and chrome is now so slow it is un responsive on certain sites, leading to googles unresponsive pop up now appearing, I assume maybe as it syncs with my other devices and stuff

it can't be my netbook, but i'm no expert, I bought it originally as my laptop went pop, but at the time I decided I would be using my smart phone more so I haven't filled the netbook with any cr@p, all my important stuff is backed up elsewhere, my antivirus is avg, can anyone think of stuff that may be using resources in the back ground that I may not need???

Hi guys,

Been away for too long Sad. my bad but loosing your job sucks so much ass!

Anyway so i sold my old 323F BA and went through a phase of diesels for economy.....yeah that lasted long....all of about 3 months! I got myself a diesel Mazda 3 which is an emense little car but then decided i miss my modding and gave it to the missus.

I missed the 323F but wanted something a little more practical for the future.....getting old now Sad So i got this, still a 323F but the BJ shape. Lots of mods already from the previous owner but ive already got a J-spec FSZE engine ready to go in so that should boost my bhp a bit Smile Now that ive got myself a new job im back on the scene Big Grin

Grafitti wall from this afternoon
by Colin G, 04-05-2021, 06:44 PM
Whilst at a photoshoot being held by infinity mods and motorducks at the grafitti wall in Chelmsford today, got some pics of my IS taken, also got a few taken with another IS too. The chap did say he was a member on here, but can't for the life of me remember what his name is.

Malware on the site
by toxo, 04-05-2021, 03:35 PM
Be careful guys! I just got infected with a hijacker via java on a banner advert on here. I don't normally run java as I know it's a big security hole but I'd installed it for something at work. Fortunately I don't run as an administrator so just deleted my user profile once it had been taken over but that's not how Windows is set up by default so you might fall foul of this.

This site doesn't use java for anything, so if you ever get prompted "This web site requires java" you know something fishy is going on.
