Newbie with an IS200
by Charl 029, 09-04-2019, 09:34 AM
Hi guys just joined up, I'm from the kent area. Saw a few cars from this club at Lydden Hill at the BHP show and thought I'd join up.

Here she is:

Had her for just over a year, bought at 50k on the clock, but now at about 70k.

I've got some BC racing coilovers on, but thats about it, just a load of little trivial mods otherwise. My potential shopping list is huge though...:whistling:

Fedex duty and tax invoice for eBay spoiler!
by karlp, 08-04-2019, 05:53 PM
Hey guys,

I received a invoice from fedex today for £15.04 for the lip spoiler I ordered from eBay that came from Taiwan, I know you have to pay import duty and some items but for a car spoiler that has a declared value of 41 USD??
Should I have to pay this? Can anyone shed anymore light if this is a taxable item?

Fuel Consumption
by edeath, 08-04-2019, 10:37 AM
Hi RX8ers,

Im really thinking of buying a 231 (well havent driven one yet) as I really miss the smoothness of my old IS.

How bad are these really on fuel? I really can't justify 18mpg round town if that really is the figure as my Leon is giving up to 28mpg if I drive it like a saint.

If I drive sensibly how much am I looking to get round town as I'm a londoner so will be mostly town driving?

Hi guys, new to the forum so thought I'd say hello. I have owned a Corolla tsport since February this year and I am gradually modding it from stock.

Its more about the look that I am after rather than increasing power, a couple of latest photos below of where I am upto so far

Is200 speakers - front and rear
by FunkMasterJay, 07-04-2019, 12:48 PM
hey all.

after extensive research, I have found out that Corsa B speaker brackets will fit the Is200.

What I want to know is, where I can get off-the-shelf MDF adaptors as I do not have the time, space or proper tools to make my own.

also, with the rears, I will be fitting JBL 6 x 9's, with the frequency adjusted to 100hz. In your experience, will 12mm speaker rings be enough, or should I use 18mm. I only want to take it apart once, again due to my very little free time.

Cheers/
J

The dark side

What is it with those clowns on the other forum? They have severely restricted my access and available functions, e.g. I cannot start a new topic, or see any embedded content. However, I'm still showing as a Gold member, which I'm not btw. Thought it may be my settings but they have also been restricted so I can only change my personal details.
