And the forums response - sound familiar to some of ours only more polite!!

Jesus H Christ i wish people would take the time to google this stuff and get their facts right
all week in work the debate as raged, and i see it everywhere on the forums,
Now i see a commenter on a news story about the weather on The Suns website going all off at the health and safety nazi's and how its illegal, you will be sued
its all utter rubbish as this link proves........http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Nl1/Newsroom/DG_191868
so long as you dont make it worse you can do as you please,
infact the only thing it tells you not to do is use water to clear snow/ice as it can cause black ice, thus increasing the problem
everything else from shovelling to salting is fair game
rant over

What can i say?
when she bought her flat they "estimated" what eleccy she would use, and qouted like £37 a month
which is fine,
she then received a letter a few weeks ago saying along the lines of "we've noticed you didnt use as much as we thought, so your in credit, your monthly bill will go down to £24 after your next payment"
we thought this was great!!!
but then she received a letter yesterday saying she was in "debit" and owed £129, meaning her monthly bill is going up to counteract the over-usage and outstanding monies
which i think is bang out of order,
so tonight ill be on uswitch looking for a better provider,
so my question is, if i cancel with EON are we under obligation to pay the outstanding £129??? or can i tell em to stick it?
OK im reviving this in time for xmas and new year, and i promise to keep it going this time. :whistling:
Rules are the car must be featured in the garage and have a suitable picture hosted. I'll give it 10 days of voting to get the car featured in time for xmas. (in future it will begin on the first of the month with 2 weeks voting time)
So closing date will be the 17th December
Good luck everybody, lets choose a nice one!

Not sure if you've seen this already but it made me laugh, I'm amazed he didn't end up in the barriers, real testament to how good modern stability and braking systems are!
Oddly enough, my IS made it up the road just fine... Flippin' taxi drivers...
I left the house at 8:20 this morning with 2 of my kids to take them to school.
Having dropped them off, I went up to the ex-wife's to collect my eldest as the snow had apparently meant that her usual transport was unable to get up the street...
Oddly enough, my IS made it up the road just fine... Flippin' taxi drivers...
However getting to the road to get up it was indeed a pain. I even passed Ormi heading in the other direction (going to work I reckon) - and while mine is a little bit twitchy in the snow, I can only imagine what a charged one is like!
Anyway, having dropped the younger 2 off at 8:50, it was near half 9 when I left with the eldest. She attends a special residential school in Alloa, which is about 40 miles up the M9 motorway...
Normally to get to the M9 from where I live, it takes about 20 minutes. It was just shy of 12 o'clock when I got to the start of the M9 today... 2.5 hours to cross Edinburgh...
Then another hour on the M9 to get to the school in Alloa, and I was ready to head back to Edinburgh at about 1pm...
Unfortunately by this time, the M8 was closed. As was the M90. which meant that pretty much all the traffic on those routes headed down the M9 instead... the resulting volumes of traffic had me and a few other stuck drivers chucking snowballs at each other while we waited. A few miles further down the road, someone had built a small family of snowmen
Eventually there was movement... I've been home half an hour now...
So, a school run that lasted from 8:20 to 17:10... a smidgen under 9 hours...
Can you beat that?
