Winter Projects
by Sparkystav, 16-09-2018, 05:25 PM
Well obviously its getting chilly in the day and darker in the nights; so what are people planning to do to keep them busy over the winter months?

Me personally im acquiring a spare 1GGTE engine and i'm going to spend the winter months rebuilding it completely.
Nothing special added except ARP head bolts, just fresh gaskets and cleaning everything and making it look smart and tidy. Then swap it over early next year so ive got a fully rebuilt "reliable" engine.

Obviously if i find some spare cash then uprated parts may find their way in there but we'll see as we go along.

Anyway when ive started i'll start a new thread about the rebuild but:

What are everyone elses winter projects? and why you doing them?

That's why I'm going for this 950 kg baby

It's mostly for Sara who doesn't like driving her huge rwd BMW on our slippery winter roads.

We haven't bought it yet but it certainly looks like we're going to. Next friday we are moving to our new house outside the city and we need a reliable and fuel-efficient little car. What do you think?

Its that time of year again - anyone got ideas for car insurance, apart from SKY or A-Flux, who have both quoted already?

"My other car is..." What else do we have to drive ?
by BOOSST, 15-09-2018, 08:04 AM
While my MR2 has all the practicality of a tent in a hurricane it was essential I bought a sensible car of some sort. Especially bearing in mind I have a 9.5 stone American Bulldog called Ollie

So, bearing in mind, i needed space and practicality, I still needed to keep a smile on my face while driving it !

So, after much searching I found an Audi A4 2.5TDi Quattro Sport.

Fully loaded with leather, sat nav, 18" alloys, sunroof etc etc etc and a bonus of chipped to 220bhp with mahooosive torque Confusedcared:

this is my 2nd car.. whats yours ?
