Half decent cheap tyres.

Need 2 front tyres but can't really afford Falkens at the moment with a holiday around the corner and work only just starting to pick up, so wondered if anyone's got any suggestions on half decent cheapish tyres to see me through for now untill I can afford to get some Falkens, looking to pay between £50 & £60 fully fitted.

Halfords are doing 4L of Magnatec for£29.99 and you get a 1L top up free, the offer also applies to Castrol Edge which I think is £44.99, just thought i'd share in case anyone's changing oil, I got some Magnatec today just need a filter now:biggrin:

tapping noise

morning all,

the last couple of mornings when ive started the car i get a tapping sound from the cams for a few secounds then it disappears and i dont hear it again for the rest of the day.
Is this somthing to be concerned about?
im thinking its just the oil draining from the head and leaving the cams and followers (if thts wat they are) dry?
is there a way of stopping this from happening?

checked oil and this is fine although will be doing an oil flush and filter change this week.
anyone recommend a good quality oil aswell?
