I-pod, MP3, MP4 , Headphones discussion?
by parthiban, 26-01-2018, 08:52 AM
steviewevie Just like the iPod really. Apple make out like they invented MP3 players, but of course they didn't, others were there way beforehand. They just jumped on the bandwagon, did a cool design (which they're good at), and did as much as possible to lock people into the iPod (just like they do with the iPhone).

I've said this a few times but the iPod has been a big disappointment to me, for something that is so widely used and is now so many generations in, it amazes me how poor the sound quality is.

I only really use the iPod in the car, and it was the only choice for me with my Bluetouch kit for full integration and mass storage.

However if I ever change to a car with a USB socket, I think I'll be ebaying the iPod and swapping to something else with better sound.

Anees' Evo Car PC Thread with Video
by Anees, 25-01-2018, 08:04 PM
Hi guys,

Here is a video I have just upload of the Car PC in my Evo:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ367y2GWFU

The quality is not quite as good as I wanted it, but I had to make it small enough to upload to YouTube.

My Car PC Details:

PC:

ASRock IONSTAR Atom 330 Nettop PC

http://linitx.com/viewproduct.php?prodid=12484

I upgraded the Ram to 4Gb DDR2 just because Ram is cheap to get and I thought it would be worthwhile.

Based on the experience I had in my IS200, I decided to get a 128Gb Solid State drive so it is not affected by bumps and vibrations - especially important in an Evo I feel!

http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/Sear...CatId=3502 (this seems to have gone up in price alot - I'm sure I only paid £130 + Vat)

The Monitor I bought was the 8" Lilliput 889GL-80NP/C/T Black Wide Touch screen LCD

http://www.scan.co.uk/product.aspx?ProductId=31149

The power controller I have used is a Carnetix CNX-P1900 V2.2 140W Dual Output Power Regulator which also acts as a startup/shutdown controller. I used this to power EVERYTHING.

by Dark Samurai, 25-01-2018, 10:51 AM
I can get a blackberry for 15 pound a month with free blackberry. It is a curve 8520 the one with the trackpad. Or shall I keep my iPhone 3G?

by Moley, 24-01-2018, 01:32 PM
Ok I'm wanting to buy a few more polishing pads , and wanted to try the waffle type, to try and get out some of the imperfections on the car. has anyone got any recommendations on what type to get, these will be used with my machine polisher.

Cheers Moley
