by is300_dino, 06-01-2018, 12:30 PM
Apparently insurers changed the way they group catorgories from 1st january and now go up to up to group 50? how does that affect us in real life terms what group would they reclassify for example my is300 and as im just about to get my 5 years no claims i was hoping for a decrease in price this year not for it to go up! grrr if it does go up in price.

A question for the admins/mods on OJC...
by kam05, 06-01-2018, 06:53 AM
If I directed a member of OJC to another forum (via PM) to read a particular post/thread, would the mods here warn me/and or give me a temporary posting suspension?

I thought PM's were private and why are mods reading private PM's? I've asked the mod who has given me a temporary suspension on said forum about this, but I cannot seem to contact the mod who has banned me for an explaination.

So, what do you think?

Had a laugh earlier?
by Bandit, 05-01-2018, 08:20 PM
Went down to my local shop earlier to get a few things, and had to laugh at a lad that lives up my street!

He's a young lad drives a Corsa, quite a tidy little motor with a basic kit on it and he does look after it, Anyway as i came back up our road i saw him coming towards me with just his side lights on and his ****ing fog lights(usual thing for him) he's got bright blue led's in his side lights and bright blue led washer jets, and all you see at night is them while he's out driving around in the pitch black?

As i pulled into the street just past my house to turn round and park up, a silver ford galaxy came flying up and shot across the road towards this lad, slid up to the front of him and stopped, the lad hops out screaming and shouting at them waving his arms around, chest out and being a total ****, Until the blue lights started to flash on the galaxy and he soon went quiet :Fish::thumbup:

The 2 officers jumped out and basically got him over the bonnet of the galaxy, and was giving him an earful  one of them went over to his car, (sat in the road with the blue side lights on) and turned it off, the lad by now was sat in the back of the galaxy, And about 20mins went buy and a flat bed pulled up and put his corsa on the back, the chap had a chat to the officers and took the car away, :Chair:

The lad got out of the car and started to come my way swearing and looking very p'd off, he's says as he walks past, " the wankers have just impounded his car and are having him for impersonating a police vehicle/officer and that his car will probably be crushed within the next 14 days, as he wont be able to pay the costs" Confusedmoke:

I thought it was quite funny as he'd only said to me a few days earlier, that he never gets stopped for only having the blue lights and fogs on while he's out at night and thought it was clever :Chair::Chair: Shame about his motor as it was quite tidy even for a Corsa :Fish:

What do you guys think?
by Bandit, 05-01-2018, 07:19 PM
Been looking at different motors over the past few weeks, and trying to come up with a few options? Just wondered what your thoughts were on the Honda Accord Type R, 2.2ltr, 212bhp models?

Seen quite a few over the past few weeks going for silly money, A couple i've seen have the Hondata Ecu supplied with them, that ups the power a bit, and is programmable to different mods, ie: supercharger or turbo, induction kits etc, so room to improve if i get the chance??

Thought it might be something different or there's always another is200, but think i'll miss having that bit of extra power and the is200 without the supercharger just wont be the same? The running costs are about on the same level as an is200 but with more power on tap??

Quite like this one CLICK ME?

:confused::confused:

Help with installing headrest monitors...
by momo88, 05-01-2018, 03:06 PM
Hello guys, i wanna ask a question about installing a pair of headrests. The headrests in questions are these ones:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XTRONS-HM703Y-2x-7...2c5313e410

They have two RCA cables, from each monitor.

The dvd player i have is this one:
http://www1.dealtime.co.uk/xPF-7-widescr...r-with-DVD

it has one RCA input and one output.

Im having trouble connecting it upto to my dvd player, i know il have to buy a splitter to allow both monitors to be conected to my dvd player, but atm i can't even get one of them to show whats playing on my dvd player.

Please help!
p.s i have a lexus is200. And would like to know what the best points around the handbrake for grounding them and a 12V supply

Education advice
by Saraj, 05-01-2018, 02:40 PM
Hi everyone,

I've looking at going back to college/uni to study in the Nuclear area.

Now the course which i've spotted is the Fd in Nuclear Decomissioning at Blackpool College. problem is they have not confirmed whether its going ahead or not yet and are going to get back to me.

The reason this interests me, is once completed the Fd, i can apply for the Nuclear Graduate scheme ran by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority.

Now I;ve just found out from the NDA that bursaries are available if you apply for the course i have in mind, i went to the website where you can apply, and it states you have to apply by March 2010???

How can I apply when my position on the course hasnt been confirmed yet?

Do i just apply for the bursary, and if they accept it, they will pay out once im on the course?

Sorry new to this bursary thing, as never applied before.

Windows Phone 7 Series

How awesome does this look? This OS in the body of something really sexy like the HD2 could be fantastic - I thought my next handset would be android again, but I'm not so sure anymore, I'm amazed at how MS have just thrown the old Windows mobile away and come up with something that looks simply brilliant!

This could be exactly what they need to get back in the game, while people haven't completely left windows devices behind, with android still growing and apple not bringing anything new out........let the battle commence!
