Hi guys.
Need a bit of advice of which laptop to get for christmas, decided I will get money, and just work around it. So does anybody know of any good quality, good spec, cheap (under £400) laptops?
I'm looking at this one: http://www.pcworld.co.uk:80/martprd/stor...egory_oid=
Anyone else finished, i'm off till the 4th (i think)? I'm not used to having crimbo off. Last couple of years only had xmas day, boxing day and newyears day off.
Got lots of things planned though, so don't think i'll notice much of the hoiday! Anyway heres to the holiday season. Going to try give the motor some attention over next week and a bit too!

:thumbup1::thumbup1:Not been on and replying as usual, been at work doing overtime, as being payed 30 quid per hour for callcentre work !! I feel a long night ahead of me !
wooooohooooooooooo

On a related note, there's a similar thread on the WIM forum and no one seems to know who she is! Not sure if it's age related but is it the same over here?
The BBC and other sources say that Virgin Media have started to send out letters to people who are taking part in illegal file sharing across the internet. This is to crack down on the copyrighted songs being distributed and downloaded illegally.
Letters are going to be aimed towards the parents as it is suspected that only children are involved. The full report is here

To me i dont think this is right. Yerh file sharing illegally is bad, but why start with the UK, when there are other countries who do it on a larger scale than us. Why have virgin media agreed to it, they know it will drive customers away?
Also, i dont believe ANY isp will follow the 3 strikes and out rule, because it would open the market for a new ISP to come in and say "You can download whatever you want, we wont police the internet"
What are your thoughts
