Left work early because of the snow today, but got no more than 20m from the car park before I got totally stuck. Managed to get the car into a taxi rank which wasn't too far from me (hope it's still there in the morning) and then got the tube home.
The problem now is that if the weather doesn't clear up soon, how do I get the car home? Will the AA tow my car home for me tomorrow if it's still snowy or is it stuck there until the weather gets better?
This time of year, with very cold weather, is usually a real killer for batteries that are failing. Some of us might have found this out already, but if your battery is seeming a bit dodgy at the moment (e.g. slow turning over when starting the car in the morning), then get it replaced, it's likely to just get worse rather than better, and could leave you stranded !
We wanted to share this Christmas Message with the club Members, this was sent to us by our club Sponsors at Adrian Flux:thumbup:

Well we are in Norway just now, and seeing how everyone else drives with Winter tyrse on I think its a must for us to do ther same.
The roads are covered in snow and everyone drives without a problem.
With us numpties with our summer tyres on we would not be able to drive in their roads.
Some of them have studded tyres and some not.
I think I will get some for our cars and see how we get on, but just need some suggestions on what kind to get from our members who stay in the snowy places:Fish::laugh:

Went to pick up a set of standard R33 GTS-T alloys yesterday, and just put them on my motor, not bad for a FREE set of alloys with 2 new toyo T1R's fitted and 2 Dunlop sport 9000's on the other 2 with about 6mm tread left
So a bit of a bargain me thinks and worth the trip to pick them up
They do look very small and thin though now there on the car :Sulk:

The cars in need of a really good clean now? But now i will be able to get my Ultralites cleaned up,
and then get some new tyres for the rear when i have the funds ready for next year :thumbup1:
..

Another year in the IS2 has been confirmed.
Just sorted my insurance out. £1070 fully comp with 1year NCB and 1 year driving under my belt. Not as cheap as I was hoping, but certainly a big saving on last year! Used a company called Quinn Direct. As the usual places like Skyline and Adrian Flux won't touch me coz I have only held my licence a year. Anyway, all said and done, I'm set for another years motoring! Wohoo!
:Shooting:well guys...:Mobile:Liverpool got hammered :lol::lol::lol:just thought i'll let u know......:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Just watching overhauling at the S.E.M.A show (2007) got to get there one year so many nice car's, so much class workmanship.I hope the yank's never see that **** we had on, set in some old east end arches, cant even remember the name of it?Dont like to praise the yank's to much:lol: but they know how it's done when it come's to car's
Some of you will have seen this before, but I thought it was worth re-posting for those who haven't. It's an incredible "carputer" install in an MR2, with a Star Trek theme. Posting it in this section since it's more about the carputer than the MR2 really.
Some pics below, and a lot more here.
