Got home from work earlier and whilst thinking my car needs a bit of a wash, i take a closer look and it appears someone has banged their door my n/s front :angry: i'm starting to get sick of this now

Two stage boost removal just done it :-)

Been meaning to do this for a while now so thought i'd sort it out at last, Its a very simple mod and another freebie but does seem to make a difference to the car and how it goes? :tongue_smilie:

My Skyline has the two stage boost system (think most RB25 skylines have?) and it usually runs around 0.5bar up to 4500-5000rpm then goes up to 0.7/0.8bar upto 7000+rpm,

This little mod removes the 2 stage boost part and gives you the higher 0.7/0.8bar of boost all the time so more power all the way through the rev range :thumbup1:

it ups the pressure from about 7.25psi to 11.6psi approx, so about 4.35psi more pressure?

Very simple to do as it only takes 1 wire from the boost solenoid which you ground out to the body of the car, I've just done it and have only earthed it out but on Wednesday i'll be fitting a switch in the dash, so that i have the choice of running 2 stage boost for normal driving or single stage for a bit more fun. (always be on single knowing me:laugh :thumbup:

Connector block on the solenoid earth wire..blue earth wire can just be seen under the solenoid?
(will be nice and tidy when i redo it?)


Earthed out on the body..


And how i'll be wiring the switch in on Wednesday..to give you an idea of how simple this mod is?


Hopefully fit it here like this chap has?


Will try and do a "how to" when i re-wire it and add the switch and take a few more pic's?

Simple and free to do if you have a bit of wire and a switch, giving you better boost all through the rev range and a choice between 2 stage and single stage :thumbup1:

HELP!! Face battle to keep my Honda S2000

Hi guys,

Sorry I have been a bit quiet recently but as you know I have got married. The threat to the Honda does not come from the wife however, she loves it (even better she loves FAST driving......:w00t its from my sister.

My sister got rid of her plastic Mini Cooper (thank goodness!) and the plan was that she would have the Honda S2000 to drive to work and I could use it at weekends and evenings. We agreed a price or basically half price and she seemed happy. Unfortunetly she has now thrown a spanner in the works by saying she doesn't now want the S2000 because she has seen some little Mercedes.

She has taken a liking to the Mercedes C-Class Coupes like this:

Personally I am not exactly a big fan of Mercedes anyway and I find the coupe thing she likes horrible and out of proportion. If she gets it, then I'll have to get rid of the Honda because driveway space will be limited and she is refusing to pay her half towards the car.

How can I convince her the Merc is POO and the Honda is ACE ?? (Shouldn't be too hard really should it?) :lol:
