Hi all!
So i've been looking into getting my Supra's wheels restored back to "original".
Idea is, I just put some regular wheels on it, then whip out the "originals" for any meets/shows and so on.
For the works, powdercoating, and tyre removal/putting back on, a local company have quoted me £350 for four.
You can see the current condition in the pics of this thread. I MUST take some more pictures for you guys, really sorry, I meant to do this at the weekend but had a few other bits to do.
Will start the restoration blog thingy soon so I can be better at this hehe.
Is this a little high, do you think? I must sound like such a silly billy asking such a vague question, but some companies are charging about £40 a wheel!
Do any of you have any recommendations for companies in this field?
Am I just being really stingy? (As in...you pay for what you get) kind of thing?
P.S I don't trust Halfords though.
Hope eveyone's having a lovely day!!
Sally.

Hi everyone!
So this is the first time that I've ever used a forum, but I thought that now my 'little car' is pootling about, it would be really great to socialise with it and join a club! Not only that, I head forums are excellent for support and advice, which I am always very much grateful of, especially where car restoration is concerned. It was all well and good planning the purchase, and getting the basics done, however now I'm finding that I'm hitting little corners that I'd really appreciate the opinion of other on - because hey, maybe you've had the same thing to think about too!
So I'm Sally, I'm 29, and like you, I love my car
I named it (I'm sorry :blushing

^ Haw, those logs for support...:blushing:
I bought the car, private sale, for £950, which to be honest, considering it drove all the way back from Birmingham to the Isle of Wight without a hitch, and still continues to purr graciously, I am seriously happy.
The engine is sound (touching EVERY wooden table available) with an upgraded battery as of last week.
Electrics all fine too.
Some amount of surface rust to the body in places - little spots about the size of your little finger nail, which I've patched up for now until I can get me to some other method with a tad more longevity.
One problem is...the rear sills are shot, and the exhaust system could use a complete "old off, new on" kind of thing, which I'm actually going to go ahead with a custom from Powerflow with. Experience advice welcome there
It's in the garage on Monday for a quote on the sills, and I am expecting quite a dent in my purse to be honest, but in my heart, I don't want to give up on him ^^ That's what reviving lovely old cars is about, right?
So I would absolutely love to get to know you all better as one of the group here, and hope to even come to any meets you may have in the future! Meet Eddie too ^^
Hope you're having a lovely Friday, and thanks for having me here!
Sally.

I know its not a Jap car but my dad has got a 2003 W211 E240 Avantgarde and the check engine light has come on. Upon reading codes off the car I believe it may be an O2 sensor but can't be sure. I've done loads of research online but have not been able to come up with any solid possible reasons.
Has anyone got experience with Mercs?
The main codes are:
P20C2 Heating of component G3/6 (Right O2 sensor,after TWC[KAT]),Voltage supply (P0141)
P2082 G3/3 (Left O2 sensor,before TWC[KAT]) Electrical fault (P0150)
P2010 G3/6 (Right O2 sensor,after TWC[CAT])(P0136)
The sub codes read off the end of the main codes are:
P0141 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0150 O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P0136 O2 Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
Now from looking at the sub codes it seems like its an O2 sensor but I don't know how many the car has or which one lol! I don't have a workshop manual for the car either. Tried ringing up Merc but even after telling them that I have the codes etc they were still trying to push me to book it in for a diagnoses at £120/hr so told them where to go...
Anyway, any help as always would be greatly appreciated.
Hello all new member here just picked myself up a 03 is200 sportcross and love it. I was pointed over to this site by a member of audi-sport.net he said its a good site so I'm looking forwered to getting some tips and tricks on my is200.
Hi all.
Currently driving an Altezza and been salivating over some of the tezza/IS build projects on here!
I've recently bought a pack of deadening to put in my doors, my question is, do I need to strip the plastic membrane off and put the deadening directly on the skin, or over the top of the plastic, if I'm taking the plastic out am I to worry about water ingress, the door skin is coated?
Hi all I am new here I got my supercharge is200 2 weeks ago and it was running very good till it started losing power when I give take off hard and when I turn the car off and start it again it is fine till I do the same thing again any help will be much appreciated Thanks
picked my motor up about around 6 months ago, and she was pretty to begin with, infact exterior there isn't much im going to change other than tidying (eventually)!! its a jdm import back in 2003 its been pretty well maintained with a full service history, not always been at the stealers but its been done! its the GT version with hardtop finished in my favourite of colours Indy Yellow pearl/rio/spa yellow. So having got her home back in august 14 the first weekend I spent going over her with the polishes etc and this is what she came out like!![[Image: IMG_0650.jpg]](http://s28.postimg.org/4kl5daskt/IMG_0650.jpg)

hi all, finally got around to writing this one, its going to be a slow slog as I don't have a great amount of time and/or money, just like everyone else hehe

so from the exterior shes got a Tegiwa carbon fibre bonnet, oem side skirts, oem ducktail spoiler, lowered on HSD Monopro ap1 coilovers, volk racing fighter wheels staggered adjustable arms front and rear and rose jointed (hard as hell)
the business end is pretty stock jap too (power wise) its got a powdercoated valve cover, standard manifold (as far as I can see) berk hi flow cat (63mm) into a pro spec 3 exhaust, twin exit (its very loud but sounds epic) itg filter in stock gutted housing.
Interior is stock jdm ap1 black leather
First on the agenda was full undersealing, 4 wheel alignment new front tyres, new windscreen sort the shite audio system, upgrade my door cards to ap2 (include tweeters), little bit of rust in the engine bay (3rd pic near radiator stays) on the leading upperbrace, cold air cooling plate some cross bracing!
ok, undersealing I don't have pics was done by a local garage who does the Morgans (STP Motors) its had a full underseal front to back, both front splash guards out, into the front box sections and running down the sills , it was injected through lower grommets, hes put a clear wax in both doors and boot lid, obviously no need for the bonnet!
ive also had it raised slightly has it catches anything, 4 wheel alignment done and taken the camber off the rear wheels, it feels a **** sight more planted now, was very twitchy poo before, don't get me wrong it still loves to step out especially in the wet and its not a noticeable lift which is good
More pictures and interior shots to come! next thing for me to address is the interior and speakers which I appreciate in a convertible is never gonna be great! going to crack on with basic wiring this weekend!
I've got condensation in my front passenger light which is real annoying! headlight bought waiting to replace but cant get the front bumper off yet as top bolts have seized also pic 3, so bought a new top brace and bolts will be doing this as soon as poss but in the mean time I've bought some of the fly eye perforated tint stuff, I am not sure I like the look but it takes your eye off it for now!

both done,
quiet easy to apply with a heat gun and has survived now about a month on the car in our glorious weather.

Hello
Thought I'd introduce myself, my names Andy and I drive a mkiv Toyota Supra. It's a TT auto aero top in 202 black with a few bits done to it , got some plans for it this year, abit more power hopefully, and a few body mods to tidy it up.
Anyway here's some pictures, not the best but i haven't had the time to detail it yet, all to come this year though
