Big Surprise soon for my mum :)
by Demon, 10-12-2017, 08:07 AM
Hi All,

Just a quick one to say that our family will soon be getting a new car to add to the fleet.

My mum hasn't been well recently but is now pretty much better, although she too has a heart problem (think it runs in our family :boredSmile.

Anyway, she has been recently been looking at new cars with my dad and after looking at pretty mcuh all the Toyota range they started looking at Lexus. My mum loves my car and they used to have a GS so they know they are good cars. After having a new IS220d for a test drive they decided to get one. Then on the way to the showroom to order it my dad decided that she should get the 250 instead of the Diesel :thumbup1:

So one IS250 se-i with navigation has been ordered in black with the grey leather. car is due at the beginning of March, on the new reg mark.

What she doesn't know is that me and my Dad have gone back to Lexus and have since changed her order :laugh::laugh:

When she turns up to collect her car its going to be a bit different.......as it will now be the IS250C in black with the white leather and all the extra's.

Im sure she is going to be over the moon and i will update with pics when we have the car at home :thumbup1:

Been having a search about the web this morning looking for record collectors/buyers and sellers? does anyone know of any places that deal with picture disc's and limited editions? or places that can give prices? I have a few that i might get rid of and most are serial numbered or limited supply!

Stav's car in Banzai !
by steviewevie, 09-12-2017, 09:14 AM
Yep, Stav's car has 4-page spread in the brand new Banzai magazine (issue 100, Feb 2010). I just got my subscription copy in the post today, don't know if it's hit the shops yet.

OJC sticker clearly visible in the engine bay.

Nice one Stav, congrats !

What a day...
by kam05, 08-12-2017, 08:58 PM
Well, where do I start...

Had the day off work today- needed to drive the wife up to the hospital.

Got back from the hospital, had a parcel waiting for me with my next door neighbour- new shower pump. Got that fitted, but found that the pipes supplied with the new pump were short.

Popped out to B&Q for longer pipes (none in stock). Wife popped out for some milk and bread (whlist I was at B&Q). Wife was out of the house for 15 mins max -got a call from the wife whlist I was still at B&Q- wife discovered we've been broken into whlist we were both out! Confusedhock:Confusedhock::angry::angry:

The back double conservatory doors have been busted open and the :cursing: were working on the internal doors (leading into the dining room) when they were disturbed.

What's the damage? Busted locks and handles- we were lucky as nothing had been taken (there was a TV and sky box in the conservatory)- if they had got the internal doors open (leading into to the dining room and the rest of the house), then that would have been it- plasma/lcd tv's, games consoles, ipods, laptops etc gone.

Its going to cost a few quid to replace the locks and handles- insurance excess is more than paying for the damage myself, therefore not going through the insurance. We are also having door jammers and uprated locks fitted in order to make the doors more secure. Had the police, CSI (dusting for prints etc) and locksmith round.

Its going to be an expensive January- I'm having 4 new tyres put on the IS200 on saturday (Yokohama C drive asymetrics) and the car insurance is up for renewal next month.
