Computer monitor / TV
by parthiban, 16-12-2017, 09:12 AM
Looking to replace my 19" monitor with a larger screen, planning to wall mount it behind my desk so it can also double as a TV in the bedroom. What size is the best to go for? Is it best to go for a 24-27" sort of size? As a TV something like 40" would be spot on, but I'm thinking that wouldn't be very nice or easy to work on or sit in front of to use as a monitor?

Has anyone done anything similar and have any recommendations as to the best way to go?

I like, just dont like the color what you reckon?

He's spoken to seller who has claimed no scratches or dents at all, just two small scratches on back when loading boot.

No marks on the interiors

Unwanted Passenger
by SHAHZ, 15-12-2017, 11:51 AM
A week ago Friday gone, was the second time i had driven the car since we had all the bad whether. Mrs had just driven it, so it was warmed up ready to go, turned on the heaters and the smell of death hit me.

Opened up the bonnet to find this

Didnt realise what it was until later, a mauled chicken bone with a few droppings around it....no rubbish collections for two weeks!!....yeap a mouse had got under the bonnet.

First i removed the pollen filter, which had droppings on it and bits of the foam it had chewed on the recirculation flap. the bottom corner of the filter was ripped and I thought bo:cursing:ks the little :cursing:has got into the blower and died.

I then dropped the blower to find some good news and some fluidRolleyes......the blower had no droppings in it and neither did the duct leading to the vents....no dead rodent!!......gave the fan a good clean with some dettol!

Put it all together again and gave it all a good clean, turned on the heaters, smell was no where near as bad but was still there, so put in a new filter and got one of those air con bombs that kills all the bacteria in the system, smells fresh as a daisy now!!

Still aint put the car back on the drive yet, and im paranoid, keep checking the bonnet and pollen filter everday!!

Can a 4x4 pull an HGV?
by parthiban, 15-12-2017, 05:45 AM
Bit of a random question I know, but just wondered whether it was possible. I got stuck in a massive jam yesterday because a truck had broken down in the middle lane, and the highway patrol goons had blocked off two lanes with cones because of it and we all had to squeeze through the one remaining lane.

They were in a shogun, so a proper 4x4 and I was just thinking instead of sitting there watching us, could they not pull the truck to the left to at least clear two lanes?

Or is a truck just too heavy? I remember that tractor pulled a 747 on top gear, so this is similar isn't it?

by P.Lindblom, 14-12-2017, 06:37 PM
Earlier today I had a PM from a Norwegian IS200 owner at the other, evil Lexus forum. I answered a few questions about some of my modifications and also mentioned that http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk is the place to be if you want to discuss anything with super friendly jap car owners.

Anyway.. I was surprised when I got another pm, asking for the address again. I checked my sent PM and saw that http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk had been censored (http://www.**********club.co.uk). I tried listing a whole bunch of different car forums and the only one that didn't work was this one. Do you think the dictators of the other forum are getting afraid they might get outnumbered? :Fish:
